Oxygen Bar Therapy

How we can benefit from it because of wearing masks all the time

We have all become familiar with the value of surgical face masks in both preventing infection or, in the case of an already infected person, in preventing further spread of the disease. The masks essentially filter the air coming in and out of the lungs, trapping the virus and other particles in its mesh. Through the COVID-19 crisis, many have become familiar with wearing masks, which filter out small particulate matter from the air – including the virus.

But in filtering those particles, the mask also makes it harder to breathe. Masks are estimated to reduce oxygen intake by anywhere from 5 to 20 percent. That is significant, even for a healthy person. It can cause dizziness and lightheadedness. If you wear a mask long enough, it can damage the lungs. For a patient in respiratory distress, it can even be life threatening.

When you a session on the Oxygen Bar it takes the ambient air from the room passes it through a filtration system that removes some of the nitrogen. This bring our oxygen intake up to 85-92%. You wear a nose cannula and simply breathe in all the oxygenated aroma therapy. The benefit of the aromatherapy: different scents do different things for our body.

This would be a great way to supplement the lack of oxygen that we are all experiencing during this covid-19 epidemic! Oxygen is food for our cells, when fed properly our body can do what it does naturally, repair itself!

A lack of Oxygen in your body may contribute to the following health & wellness problems:

  • Weight Gain

  • Sexual Dysfunction

  • Cancer and Disease

  • Altitude Sickness

  • Fatigue and Sleep Disorders

  • Suppression of the Immune System

  • Poor Circulation

  • Poor Digestion

  • Depression

  • Memory Loss & Poor Concentration

  • Muscle Aches and Pains

  • Headaches

  • Hangovers

An oxygen bar is a free-standing bar which people sit or stand at to breathe over 90% pure oxygen and aromatherapy from a disposable nasal cannula (AKA nose hose). Our bar can service anywhere from one to 6 people simultaneously, and is usually manned by one Oxy-aromatherapy technicians.

The oxygen is not kept under pressure nor is it administered from a tank. If anyone offers this service to you with an oxygen tank in the U.S. they are breaking the law! (That would be considered “medical” oxygen and is violating FDA regulations.) Our oxygen is produced by oxygen concentrators (AKA oxygen generators) which take the air that we breathe every day and separates the nitrogen from this ambient air with a molecular filter. Most of the nitrogen is expelled during this cycle, and the oxygen is concentrated and pushed out of the machine through a tube which is attached to the Aromatizers (AKA diffusers) which sit on top of the Oxy-bar. It is there that the oxy-aroma technician controls the flow of the oxygen to the individual bottles that hold water and the all-natural, essential, therapeutic grade aromas. In turn, the bottles bubble when turned on, and oxygen is forced through the other opening of the bottle which has another open-ended tube on it. It is there that the bar patrons connect the nasal cannulas while breathing normally.

*Note: Oxygen is a very dry gas and needs to be “humidified” and this is one of the two reasons why it is passed through the water. The other reason is to have it pick up the pleasant scent.

Visitors to our Oxybar can choose from 12 different scents and switch to any of them at any given time during their session. For optimum benefits, a session at the bar should last from 10 to 15 minutes. Bar patrons can choose from our most popular flavors which are Eucalyptus, Aphrodisiac, Lavender, Lemongrass, Vanilla, Peppermint, Spearmint, Orange, Almond, Cold and Sinus. So sit back, Relax and Just Breathe.
